It's been a while. But I doodled something finally. Oh there were doodles beforehand but they were on paper. I was playing around with my gf's mac and after loading it with progs customizing it to my liking I kind of got attached. So until further notice its in my room. I feel neglected without photoshop or painter but I found a substitute. It's a very limited one but it's been damn fine for sketching. I can't jack up the res so all i make is stuck on screen, and there is only one layer, and no airbrush, and minimal brush settings, well i guess it kind of sucks but one thing is its like paint and everything you do blends. Not paint like ms paint i mean actual on a palette paints.
Here is what i churned out, on a single layer, with a single brush, it takes a thousand times longer to do it this way but it still turned out nice.

The Three Musketeers
Two weeks isnt that bad for a lag between posts is it? I have doodled a ton but I forget to do it with a tablet so while im filling skwtchbook pages i dont want to bring it back out at night and retrace doodles.
But I doodled something I liked a bunch and decided to add 3 more and make it part of a set. So here are 3 of the 4 of the set in various stages of completion. The characters are just the most awesome guild members from RO.
Halcyon Blade -my char-
Hida -still lacking George the Chon atm-
Chroma -gf's char-
I like them a bunch and was very happy to draw them first shot with next to no erasing. Doodled in the first OpenCanvas and inked in Photoshop.

Halo 3 Multiplayer goodness
This could not be more awesome I think. I watched it and I just stopped playing RO and went upstairs and had to play some Halo 2.
I think the game videos will have so many uses. There are lots of times you're playing you wonder how the hell someone got somewhere, or where was that bitch camper that just sniped you, and now you can find out. Trip mines? Bubble Shields? So nice. Damn I need a 360.

Super HIro
I sketched it the other day and liked it. So I traced it with the tablet fixed up the face and just put some greys in there for some sort of shading.
I really like it and I look at it and want to do more but Im fine with it for now.
The idea is that he's in between being the meek starter Hiro and the eventual awesome Hiro sans glasses and accent with slicked back hair.
I did it start to finish in Photoshop CS2.

Rock out with your...nevermind
Its an odd first entry for a sketch blog but it will double as a blog of things I find interesting too. As ooooooooof......now.
Love that commercial. Rocking so hard you destroy a meteor is always good. And for an art related spin the commercial was done by the same guy who designed the Gorillaz characters.
